Oslo – Posters commemorating victims of the recent military crackdown were sighted at a few locations in the former capital of Myanmar, according to accounts compiled Monday by the Oslo-based opposition radio station Democratic Voice of Burma. Military and security forces otherwise have full control over Yangon where a nightly curfew was still in force, the radio station’s news editor Moe Aye said. During the curfew, internet connections with the country seemed to be working better, suggesting that the military were using the internet overnight, he said. (full text).
